This afternoon I found some time to begin re-decorating our bedroom. It’s going to be a mammoth task! The reason for this is that the previous owner of our house was clearly what you might call a ‘botcher’ – someone determined to get a job done in the easiest means possible, using any cheap materials he can get his hands on. As a result, I’ve had to strip the room down to nothing; off with the ill-fitting skirting boards, off with the badly laid laminate flooring, off with the cupboard doors that don’t shut….etc
We haven’t decided on what colour to go for for the walls and carpet. They have to match brown though, as we’ve got brown furniture and curtains. Any budding interior designers out there willing to give us some advice?
To add to the difficulties I was facing in getting the skirting boards off, my kecks were giving me grief! My jeans are too big for me, and I couldn’t find my belt anywhere! Everytime I stood up from pulling at the skirting this would happen: What a ‘mare!

Now, on to a different subject. Lewis Hamilton has won the Formula-1 championship. Are the folk there waving an English flag, or are they waving the Union Jack? Hovis bread, I’ll wager, would LUV to have him do an endorsement, and, pay him a rather substantial fee for it!
I think turquoise and jade go really well with brown!

Hamilton waved his Union Jack with pride, but his boss, Ron Dennis thanked ‘all England’ for getting behind the driver. I was hoping for a Massa win.

Massa won the individual race, rather nicely at that. I give Hamilton tremendous credit, though. He knew he had to finish fifth place to get the point total for the F-1 championship. He was running sixth with just a little to go. Wet conditions started and prevailed. HE TOOK A RISK AND IT WORKED!! – the pitting for wet condition tires (tyres to you Union Jack wavers !!), and thus being able to overtake the fifth place car. TRUE SPIRIT OF AN ENTREPRENEUR !!
