Top Totty

23 06 2008

I was working in the office today (as opposed to working at home) and met up with Andy and his mum during my lunchbreak. We went to Hula on Victoria Street where, courtesy of Muriel, I was able to get the last 3 stamps on my loyalty card filled out which means a lovely free latte the next time I go!

Every time I am on Victoria Street, I am sorely tempted by the window display in Totty Rocks. They have some beautiful clothes and if I could afford to, I would probably buy something there every time I go past. But I don’t!

However, if you are rich, you might like to check them out the next time you are passing by. Or visit their website!

The post has just arrived, and with it came my 4GB flashdrive, courtesy of www.mymemory.co.uk

But wait - there was more! The parcel also contained a SanDisk/Ducati baseball cap!

(I had to take the photograph without showing my face because the cap has the magic ability to make me look like an 8 year old boy.)

Once again, I recommend you check out My Memory for all your gadget related needs!

Pray for Phoebe

19 06 2008

Below is a link to a website which has been set up for a little girl called Phoebe Macaskill. She was diagnosed around Easter time with Neuroblastoma, stage 4 - a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Her parents are friends of the Cummings, and she is also a niece of our friends Ross and Irene.

There are lots of people praying for Phoebe and it is great to read on the website that she has been responding well to recent treatment. There is still a long way to go though, so if you pray, please pray for Phoebe and her family.

Memory

16 06 2008

A couple of months ago I ordered some sticky labels from a company called My Memory. They have a great looking website and lots of cool products ranging from iPod and laptop accessories to ink cartridges and tripods. I am now on their mailing list and recently received an invitation to play their new Facebook game. It is running until sometime in July and the grand prize is a motorbike, or cash equivalent of £4000, and the top scorer every day wins a 4 GB flash drive worth £32.99.

The daily prize

One day when I was really bored I decided to give the game a shot. I didn’t expect much from it but what I found was possibly the most amazing game in the world, to which I am now completely addicted! It’s like ‘Pairs’ and you have to search a grid of pictures to find two the same. The pictures feature all of your Facebook friends and I have probably wasted a good few hours on it lately.

Fun as the game was, I experienced some problems with it (which I am not going to go in to because I don’t want other people who are liars claiming to have the same problems – although I’m sure they have ways of verifying these things!) and after a couple of Emails and some very nice replies, I got one today saying the problems should be fixed, and they had decided to send me a flash drive too. I know it’s probably just to shut me up but I thought that was very nice of them indeed.

I’m still not sure if the game is working properly but I would like to recommend that you use My Memory for all your gadget related needs!

More Photos

15 04 2008

Yesterday I was off work with the cold and one of the things that cheered me up greatly (aside from a chocolate muffin that Andy bought me, and about 6 episodes of 24) was getting to see some of the official shots from Jeni and Colin’s wedding. Click here if you want to see them too.

I think they are amazing and can’t wait to see the rest! You too can have wedding photos like this if you book Roddy Mackay. Do it. Now.
